The Nursery children have had lots of fun this term learning about their Autumn 1 topic....

ALL ABOUT ME!!!!

We would like to share our learning with everyone...

Our Role Play area is the Three Bear's house...

Learning about size during our maths activities was so much fun!

We looked in the mirror and made our faces using paper plates, paints and various collage material. Then we put them in a long line to make our very own caterpillar for our fabulous display.

Our Learning Journey display is coming along beautifully. What do you all think?

We did handprints and compared the sizes of our hands.

We made special hearts for people we love and learnt how to use the scissors carefully and with good control.

We also drew pictures of our families developing our pencil control and mark making skills.

We hope you have all enjoyed hearing about what Nursery have been learning during this very busy Autumn term. We look forward to sharing our experiences with you all even more next term....

Look how we have settled into Nursery Life!!

The Nursery children have settled fabulously into their new environment and the teachers are so pleased with the progress they have made. They are beginning to follow routines and are becoming familiar with their surrounding.

End of Year Nursery Picnic Day!!!

We really enjoyed having a picnic in the Nursery and we had lots of fun!

All our parents came to join us and we enjoyed sharing our food.

Nearly all the parents came and it was nice to see them interacting and talking to each other and their children.

The weather was on our side and it was a lovely bright sunny day!

At the end of our picnic, we even got the children (and some parents) to have a dance...

NURSERY PICNIC DAY!!!!!

The Nursery children have been really busy getting ready to raise money for their 'Nursery Gardening Project'.

We have been working really hard baking biscuits and cakes for our Nursery picnic.

 All the parents have been invited to join us too. We have asked for a donation of £1.00 to buy equipment and resources for the Nursery garden.

During the week we made shortbread biscuits and cup cakes.


We made a list of ingredients.

We weighed the ingredients and then mixed them together to make biscuits and cup cakes.

We built our vocabulary by learning lots of new words (ingredients, spreading, creaming weighing.)

We then baked them in the oven and when they cooled down, we decorated then with icing sugar and chocolate!!! 

Yum yum 😋😋😋

 

 

After that, we wrote a menu and sent out special invitations so everyone could come and join us.

Nursery Picnic Day - Friday 4th May 2018.

Finally, it was picnic day. All the children helped to set the playground up so we were ready for our parents to join us.

The picnic was a great success and we managed to raise a total of £98.00. 

Thank you so much to all the parents who joined us and their kind generosity. We even had some parents asking when they could come and join us again because they had so much fun!! 👍👍👍
