Christmas in Nursery

Nursery have had lots of fun getting ready for Christmas...

We decorated our own Christmas tree and Christmas hoop.

Look at us in our Christmas jumpers...

We enjoyed watching the Christmas Pantomime...

We invited our parents for a Christmas Activity day and had lots of fun making Christmas cards and Christmas decorations.

Look at our amazing snowmen biscuits...don't they look delicious...

Parents enjoyed getting creative and making Christmas cards.

" Look at all my Christmas decorations for the Christmas tree, I have a bell, tree, star."

We had so much fun making paper chains to decorate our Nursery with.

We finished off with lots of Christmas dancing and singing jingle bells.
Thank you to all Parents for coming!

We were so excited about meeting Santa at Sandwell Valley. We wrote him letters asking for what we would like for Christmas.

We had an absolutely magical day at Sandwell Valley. We got to meet Santa and got a Christmas present. We made our own Santa hats, watched a magic show and fed the Reindeers.

The children were really brave and really gentle with the reindeers.

The children loved playing in the magic snow...

Thank you Miss Clarkson, David and Sam for coming with us and for all your help.

Merry Christmas to everyone from Nursery.

Parent Inspire Reading Workshop

We invited our Parents to come and see how we learn to read in Nursery. Our story of the week was 'The Gingerbread Man.' We worked with our parents to take part in a range of activities based around the story.

We designed our own gingerbread men using a variety of collage materials.

We made our own character puppets so that we could role play the story at home.

Can you place the correct number of buttons on the gingerbread man by looking at the number he has on him?

Our parents helped us to paint a gingerbread man

We made our own gingerbread men out of play dough. We added eyes and buttons.
"I have 2 gingerbread men."

We also tasted gingerbread men and made our own gingerbread man books to take home.

Parents enjoyed seeing how much of our Early Years Curriculum we can cover just through one story.

At the end of the week the Gingerbread man came to visit Nursery. We had lots of fun trying to catch the gingerbread man as he ran across school. The children enjoyed being the different characters from the story.

We look forward to seeing parents join us for our 'Stay and Read a story' sessions every Friday.
