New Beginnings

We would like to welcome all of our new children to Nursery and we are extremely proud of the way the children are settling into Nursery.


The children are enjoying exploring all areas of the Nursery and are beginning to access resources and activities independently.

 

 

The children are having lots of fun using the soft play area

 The children are developing a great love for mark making and stories using different forms of media.

                                                                                              

 

 

 

                             

The children have opportunities everyday to develop their fine motor skills in order to prepare their hands for writing activities. 

 

Children are busy in the maths area using numbers and shapes. We are learning how to recite number names in order to 10. We are learning how to use shapes for a purpose. 

 

We go outdoors everyday and access different activities related to our early years curriculum.

 

 

 

 

The children are already forming lovely friendships and working together to help each other achieve.

The children are beginning to join in with daily routines such as milk and fruit time. They are sitting for family group and circle time every day.

Well done Nursery for a super start to the academic year. We are so excited to see how you progress on your learning journey throughout Nursery.

Book Week

 We had lots of fun in Nursery, taking part  in a variety of activities linked to the story book 'Flotsam.'

We made sea creatures using salt dough.



 

 

 

 

 

We enjoyed painting our sea creatures.

We found lots of treasure under the sea.

We learnt the names of all the sea creatures.

 

 

We made our own beach outdoors.

 

 

 

 Ice castles

The sea creatures were frozen in ice. The children had to work out how to get them out.

 

"We need to smash the ice and get them out."

 

 "I think their stuck."

We made our own sensory sea out of gel. The children enjoyed looking for the sea creatures.

Selfie Time

We looked at different types of cameras from over time. We talked about how they worked. The children used the ipads to take their own selfies....

We enjoyed writing in the sand. The children tried hard to write the initial sounds for the sea creatures.
